English
18K gold pocket watch by Horne & Ash of London
- Details:
Horne
and Ash, St. James Street, London made this small
18K gold English pocket watch around 1810. The engine
turned dial has hand cut gold Arabic numerals and
gold hands.
A
high quality engine turned case opens to the signed
dust cover, which displays the diamond end stone and
part of the finely engraved balance cock.
Opening
the dust cover reveals the rest of the balance cock
and the fusee movement, which is signed and numbered
1777. Having recently been cleaned and serviced, this
nicely finished watch is offered with a one-year warranty.
When
one considers the work involved in just the case,
not to mention the quality movement, the watch is
irreplaceable at this price.
